Is water overflowing from the drain pan (vs. a small drip at a pipe joint)?
Overflow means the drain is clogged; a drip at a joint usually means tilt or trap problems.
Always de-energize the circuit and verify it's dead with a tester before opening any device. When in doubt, call a licensed electrician.
