When you press start, does the dryer make ANY sound — a hum, a click, anything?
Total silence points to power, the door switch, or a blown thermal fuse; a hum that goes nowhere points to the belt or motor.
Always de-energize the circuit and verify it's dead with a tester before opening any device. When in doubt, call a licensed electrician.
