Window AC Unit Won't Turn On

Nothing happens — covers 110V and 240V window and through-wall units.

Plug a lamp or phone charger into the outlet — is the outlet live?

Kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor outlets are usually GFCI-protected; a tripped GFCI elsewhere on the circuit can kill this outlet.

Always de-energize the circuit and verify it's dead with a tester before opening any device. When in doubt, call a licensed electrician.
